BILLY GOAT’S “TEXT TO VIDEO” PROGRAM PROVIDES THE RENTAL CUSTOMER WITH ON-DEMAND OPERATOR TRAINING
LEE'S SUMMIT, Missouri (February, 2017) – In the interest of providing quick and easy access to operator training for Billy Goat equipment in the Rental industry, Billy Goat’s “Text to Video” offers both rental stores and customers alike a high level of confidence when renting and using a Billy Goat.
Billy Goat’s all-new Next Gen Hydro-Drive 18” Sod Cutter is the first of Billy Goat machines to incorporate the Text to Video concept. The technology provides access via mobile device to a brief 90- second on-demand operator training by simply texting “sod” to the number 33988. This information is prominently displayed on the machine’s instruction panel. Once texted, a link is sent to the user’s mobile phone, and with a single click, a video tutorial outlining the start and operation of the machine, along with tips and a brief demonstration of the machine in cutting action is displayed.

When rental customers pick up rental equipment, they may not have immediate questions until they’ve left the rental store and are faced with using it. And rental stores can be relieved of how-to calls that often come once the customer has left the store and is ready to put the equipment to use. The Text to Video program is slated to be added to all Billy Goat equipment this year and next up for spring is the Billy Goat Hydro-Drive Outback® Brushcutter, the AE401 series Drum Aerator and the KV Self Propelled Vacuum.
